If you read the My Aromatherapy Story post, then you know I suffer from pretty severe migraines. I completely understand how utterly miserable they are and that every little bit helps when it comes to getting relief. I formulated this blend of essential oils that all have soothing, relaxing, and headache relief properties to help me relax and cope with my pain. I hope you’ll enjoy it too!

Migraine Blend

  • 8 drops lavender essential oil
  • 4 drops grapefruit essential oil
  • 2 drops eucalyptus essential oil

From here you can either add the oils directly to your favorite diffuser or add to a dropper bottle and top with carrier oil to create a soothing blend that can be applied to pressure points while you’re relaxing. I currently mix my oils with half an ounce of sweet almond oil in one of these cobalt dropper bottles.

This recipe is basically a 4:2:1 ratio that you can increase or decrease depending on your needs and sensitivity to the essential oils. This blend also makes an amazing hand lotion when added to an unscented base.
